For The Beloved

What is the nature

of this gift
from the universe?
This explosion of awareness?
This overwhelming blending
of the One and the many,
and the many and the One?
How blessed I am
to share a part of
this lifetime with you.

What Gods, what Goddesses
decided that you and I
should come together
in such a divine dance?
This perfect union
that fills our days and nights
with such joy,
such bliss?

This remembrance
and recognition
that for those moments
when we join,
Body and Spirit,
the world is perfect,
and once again,
all is well in the Universe.
